SOCIAL FACILITIES

Wallington Bowling Club is open all year round, as is the bar!  When the bowling finishes outside, members continue to get together through a wide variety of social activities.  Keep an eye on the various notice boards & the club’s newsletter for full details of what’s happening at the club.

Snooker

We have 2 full size snooker tables upstairs.  You can either have just a friendly game or take part in the internal competitions throughout the year.  It is very cheap at only £1 for 30 minutes.

Darts

We have 2 dartboards and a very successful team who play in the local Bowlers’ Darts League.  Of course, there is always room for a friendly game!  We didn’t win the 2010/11 Bowlers’ Datsa League but cleaned up in most of the knockouts!

Cribbage

We’re now in the local crib league.  Well done to Peter Brandon for winning the singles knockout.

Bingo

Occurs every other Friday evening outside the bowling season.

Short Mat Bowls

A bit of fun on Fridays between bingo nights, as well as Wednesday afternoon.

Quiz Nights

Occur throughout the close season.

Special Occasion Meals

We have a well-subscribed series of meals to celebrate Burns’ Night, Valentine’s Day, St George’s Day, etc.  Very reasonable price for good food & wine.  Also, throughout the bowling season, you can come on a Friday evening, to eat a cooked meal.  Book a few days early to avoid disappointment!

There are various other events staged at the club, as well as outside activities such as a Treasure Hunt.

Our next President, Roy Dutfield, hosts the club’s annual Dinner Dance on Saturday November 12th, at  our own clubhouse.  This is the first time for many years, so let’s have a full house!
