Wallington Bowling Club

REVIEW OF 2011
2011 started in a very memorable way, with longstanding member Terry Coyle being
honoured with the Surrey County Bowling Association’s Leopard Award. Terry was completely
taken by surprise, when Surrey President Terry Foote arrived one evening & presented
him with the award. Among Terry’s positions held were Bowls Instructor, Captain,
President, Chairman, all-
Another notable achievement this year was Geoff Farnish winning the Surrey Secretary’s competition, qualifying for his Surrey badge in the process. Also, Captain Keith Woods went one better than last year by winning Sutton & District’s Ted Pierce Trophy.
The men finished 5th in the East Surrey League, having made a farily steady start.
2012 sees Maureen Coyle taking over as President of Sutton & District Ladies. We wish her all the best of luck for her year.
